Driving: Most people arrive by HWY 50 if coming from the Front Range over Monarch Pass. A lot of people also arrive by HWY 50 when coming from Montrose and drive past Blue Mesa. Cottonwood Pass is also open spring-fall, which is an incredibly scenic way to arrive from Buena Vista. It is advisable to check road conditions at COTRIP.org before traveling. It takes approximately 4 hours to drive from downtown Denver to Gunnison.
Bustang!: There is a daily bus service between Denver & Gunnison/Crested Butte, with several stops along the way. The bus leaves Gunnison twice a day, once in the morning & another in the afternoon. Tickets are approximately $40, each way. Learn more here...
Flying: Gunnison does have a small regional airport, with daily service to/from Denver via United Airlines. Other airlines operate during the winter tourist season and summer. Learn more here...
- And, once you get to Gunnison, ask a friend to pick you up, or call the LEAD Office (970.943.2469) in advance to request assistance. Gunnison does not currently have any ride share/taxi services.
